Evolutionary Science tells us that babies are cute so that the parents are more willing to take care of them. But in our modern world, this just isn't enough anymore; you can very easily get a puppy with a much higher cuteness to work ratio. Recognizing this, babies have stepped up their game and have developed a whole new strategy: being funny as hell. So when you run into a baby doing something funny, don't hesitate to laugh. They need you to. In fact, they want you to.

Note to Babies: This is what you shouldn't do
Here's a good example of a baby crossing the line... well kind of shuffling, or something across it. Right when the video starts off, you know something is wrong. The baby is folded over itself in the middle of the tile floor, by itself. Then, the horror begins. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure how it's physically possible, and I don't want to spend the time figuring it out due to the sheer dread I feel when watching it for more than a few seconds. Clearly the person holding the camera is either frozen in fear or a far braver soul than I. I believe this babies actions are the result of it trying to find something uniquely cute to put itself out there. We've seen enough videos of babies giggling and falling over that that material has become stale and babies have become desperate to find something new to fool us with. This unfortunate little infant apparently misread our reactions and instead of warming our hearts, appears in our nightmares.
